Are you looking for something to add a little mojo to your big day? Why not hire a caricaturist to entertain your guests? Chrissy Marshall draws wickedly accurate on-the-spot caricatures at all kinds of celebrations, and weddings are a speciality.
Every wedding is slightly different, so has to be played by ear a little. However, there are two recommended 'sessions' for caricaturing at a wedding: the reception session, and the evening party session. Each session usually lasts for 3 hours or so. Here's a general run-down of how they work:
For the reception, Chrissy will be at the venue, ready for when the guests arrive, to draw for a few hours during drinks and photographs, up until the wedding breakfast. This is a good time to entertain those guests who may not be part of the main wedding party. Then, whilst everyone eats and makes merry, Chrissy will work his way around the tables, drawing those guests who like to wander around during food times (there are always a few) and in between courses, but leaving alone those people who'd rather enjoy their dinner. Chrissy will continue drawing the guests, whenever appropriate, throughout the wedding breakfast, pausing for speeches and cakes, and ensuring that the Bride & Groom and top table are all captured.
The evening stint is simple. Chrissy will be at the venue for the start of the evening party, and draw right through to a time when everybody is too drunk to sit or stand still for three minutes!
Alternatively, Chrissy is happy to fit in with your plans for the day, just let him know. During this time, Chrissy should draw between 10 and 18 people per hour, depending on how good looking the guests are. Also, he's always incredibly kind to the bride & groom and hideously mean to the inlaws!
For a small charge, a message, name or logo can be printed onto the paper used for the caricatures to commemorate your special day.
